FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Puggle is happy after praise

I'd like to take a moment to describe who I am as a Dog trainer, my methods and Objective for each clients dog.

What types of training methods are used?

  • I'm a Private / in your home Positive reinforcement trainer using food, tug toys, squeaky toys and tons of praise to teach the dog new behaviors. That states my primary methods. There are situations however that require a different approach which is why from time to time a Choke / Slip collar, Martingale collar, Pinch collar or Ecollar may be used. These tools have a bad reputation since people misuse and abuse them as disciplinary tools not for what I use them for: Positive reinforced correction. *Contact me for more details.

Where is the training located?

  • Before we begin we will need to book a consultation session (book online here: https://www.casperdogtraining.com/book-online )The training is located in your home where the dog has the least amount of distraction and feels the most comfortable. We must first teach the dog the most important people in his/her world is it's immediate human family. If there is another dog in the family we must teach appropriate socialization skills towards each other. Humans guide this behavior.

How many sessions do I need and how much does it cost?

  • The overall number of sessions are typically 3 - 8 sessions which last 50 Mins to 1 hr 15 mins which are held once per week at a cost of approx $125 + (the fee would go up only if the dog has a bite record where dog/human had to seek medical treatment.

What are the services offered to the clients?

  • First off I'm different than other dog trainers. Mainly the customized training your dogs receives for the best and fastest results. Also if I do move forward and train with you I become a true partner in training the dog(s), I'm available for questions via phone, text and email during the duration of our training. This is especially valuable during Puppy training or behavior modification such as aggression or separation anxiety to mention a few.

I look forward to working with you,
